U/9 Damian Pearce

2011 sees Damian rejoin our coaching ranks after enjoying a season’s break.  Previously he has coached Under 9, 10 and 11’s at our club as well as currently coaching Auskick.  Damian has extensive playing experience having played AFL reserve grade and VFA senior football.  He is looking forward to making the season one of fun and improvement for the Under 9’s.

U/9 Andrew Peake

We welcome Andrew as our Under 9 coach for 2011.  Andrew has been involved in football for many years having a senior career that lasted some 13 years at Old Geelong.  He has coached Auskick for 3 years and he is excited about making 2011 a great start to your child’s football career.

U/10 Simon Fisher

Simon returns for his second year of coaching with this group.  Simon is a lifetime football person with a senior career spanning 312 games and 5 premierships with Mazenod Football Club.  His coaching experience includes 3 years at senior level and 2 years at Auskick level.  Simon is looking forward to continuing the improvement in this age group after an enjoyable 2010 season.

U/11 Shane Gervasoni

Shane is back for his third year as a coach at our club.  Shane has an extensive football and sporting background having represented his country at triathlon and his state at basketball and athletics.  He played and coached football in the Sunraysia District of Mildura for Merbein and Werrimul Football Clubs.  Shane has great enthusiasm for the game and he uses this to ensure an enjoyable and vibrant atmosphere for his players.

U/12 Chris Sullivan

Chris enters his third year of coaching at our club. Chris is a Life Member of our club having played all his junior football here. Chris also has an extensive playing career representing both the Melbourne and Richmond Football Clubs at AFL Senior Level, Frankston FC in the VFA and 4 years with Mt Eliza FC as a playing assistant coach.  Chris has an emphasis on opportunity for all and creates a fun environment for his players to learn the skills of the game.

U/13 Allan Jago

We are excited to announce Al as our new Under 12 coach.  Allan has extensive sporting and coaching experience having played cricket for 16 years with Mazenod Cricket Club and having coached juniors in cricket, basketball and Auskick.  Al has a great perspective in regard to junior sport and he is looking forward to making 2011 both enjoyable and educational for his team.

U/14 Paul Deegan

2011 sees Paul return as a Premiership Coach after a fantastic 2010 season. Paul has eight years coaching experience at Auskick level.  He loves to be involved and has been coaching and mentoring junior sporting teams for the last twenty years. His playing career spanned 14 years with Mazenod OCFC in the VAFA, an involvement in football that has left Paul with the ability to promote great onfield development within his team whilst highlighting the many benefits that come with playing a team based sport.

U/15 Carmelo D’Angelo

This is to be Carmelo’s second year as coach of this group after falling agonizingly short of back to back premierships last season.  Carmelo has a lifetime of sporting experience having played junior football at Prahran Football Club.  He then enjoyed a senior career with Waverley Football Club and over 100 games with the Noble Park Bears.  Carmelo also has coaching experience in football at a youth level and in cricket at a senior level with East Caulfield.  The Under 14’s can look forward to another great year under Carmelo in 2011.

U/16 Peter Andritsos

Peter has a strong football background through a career at Monash Blues and Chadstone Football Clubs and returns for his third year of coaching this team after again making it through to the Grand Final last season.  Back to back premierships unfortunately eluded the boys but Peter, along with the new addition of Rodd Morgan as assistant coach is looking forward to building another successful season.  He looks forward to continuing his promotion of teamwork and enjoyment within his team.

U/17 Danny Alepidas 

Danny returns to our coaching roster after a two year layoff.  He is a passionate supporter of junior football and his enthusiasm for the game is contagious.  The Under 17’s can look forward to a positive and structured environment from Danny and his support staff who are looking forward to making the boys final year an educational and memorable one.
