What an incredible experience today for some of our female footy stars as they walked along side some AFLW Superstars in the GRAND FINAL PARADE!

The girls were walking in the parade with the AFLW footy players as a nod to the current and emerging stars. This was also in recognition of the Waverly Park Hawks JFC's commitment to the Gender Equity Education Program and Women & Girls Community Football Charter.

They were even lucky enough to meet Co Captain of the Brisbane Lions, Lachie Neale!!

Congratulations to all the players who took part and represented our footy club on the big stage!

Congrats to our three marvellous teams who competed in the GRAND FINAL on Sunday. Unfortunately it just wasn’t our day and all our teams went down in the finale.

At After Match, we farewelled those teams who have now have played their last games for the season and for some players, it was their last game for our club.

A huge congratulations to our U16 Girls Hipwell team, U17.5 Boys Wyllie team and U18 Girls Blues team on a superb season performance making it all the way through to the Big Dance. A big achievement in itself, and we are very proud of you all. To all your coaches, officials and support crew a big thanks to you too on a great season.

We’d also like to thank the huge amount of club members that came down to all the games. It was so wonderful to see so many Hawks colours around the grounds cheering them on loudly! And don’t worry, we saw the @waverleybluesfc supporters too 🔵🔴⚪️

A highlight of the day was the celebration of Charlotte Fairbairn’s 100th game! How awesome to have your 100th in a GRAND FINAL. We can’t take all the credit as Charlotte has joined us this season from the Waverley Blues, but we’re glad to have been apart of it!

And lastly, thanks to our wonderful Committee, led by the fantastic Mastromanno fam, for hosting the night ❤️

The kids can have a kick on the oval under lights and presentations will commence around 6:30pm where we will acknowledge all medal and award winners for the round.

There will also be the famous players draw for all WPHawks players in attendance and our raffle.

A huge congratulations to Finn Couttie for taking out the Umpires BEST ON GROUND in the Grand Final, what a star ⭐️

We also said goodbye to our U17.5 Boys Garrubba team and our U14 Girls Flack teams who both played in their Prelim finals but unfortunately did not make it through to the Grand Final. Again, it so wonderful to make finals footy and both teams should be very proud of how far into finals they went. The boys team now look forward to their upcoming Best and Fairest night and we wish them all the best in their future footy endeavours.
